SPRING/SUMMER 2007 WILDLAND FIRE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

 

Several important dates and announcements have recently been released pertaining to "Out of State Specialized Wildfire Crews":

March 31, 2007 or April 4, 2007 @ 10:00 AM Local Arduous Pack Test at the Lower Rails to Trails trailhead near Alexandria, PA (a passing time is required annually for every fire fighter)

June 1, 2007 to June 3, 2007 PA Specialized Crew Camp at Camp Karoondinha Boy Scout Camp near Glen Iron, PA (a first time wildland fire fighter must attend the "Basic" portion of Specialized Crew Camp, everybody else must attend Specialized Crew Camp once every three years)

June 8, 2007 to June 14, 2007 Mid-Atlantic Forest Fire Compact Wildfire Academy in Morgantown, WV (contact Brent Harding for information about tuition and registration)
